We would like to invite you to our educational webinars on “Introduction to ICP spectrometry” on April 4 and 5. In this two-part educational webinar, we will take you through the main considerations in trace elemental analysis from sample preparation all the way down to data evaluation. Our experts will demonstrate how to optimize your daily analytical routines using ICP-OES and ICP-MS.
Agenda:
April 4, 2022 | 10:00 BST | 11:00 CEST
Introduction to ICP spectrometry: Part 1
- Sample Prep – creating serial dilutions from stock standards
- Sample introduction options and considerations – matrix matching, physical and chemical interferences
- Inductively Coupled Plasma – RF, plasma effects
- ICP-OES and ICP-MS cleaning and maintenance
April 5, 2022 | 10:00 BST | 11:00 CEST
Introduction to ICP spectrometry: Part 2
- System Optimization – Performance reports, Mass Cal/Cross Cal, KED interface cleaning, Conditioning
- Method development – Correct wavelength/viewing mode and isotope selection, interferences – spectral and m/z, determine correct internal standards to use and validation of method
- Data evaluation – correcting for background and interferences, stability, and sensitivity verification, Examine calibration curves for R2, LOD and saturation, QC data, carryover, and drift correction
