Have you seen the new POPs under the Stockholm Convention?

At its ninth meeting concluding in May 2019, The Conference of the Parties amended Annexes A and B to include a new set of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). These include the organochlorine pesticide dicofol; and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), its salts and PFOA-related compounds (with specific exemptions). In addition the acceptable purposes and specific exemptions of perfluorooctane sulfonic acid, its salts and perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride were updated.
